Tomasz Klepczyński

Tomasz Klepczyński is a clarinetist, saxophonist, composer, arranger, and educator from Koszalin, Poland. He graduated with honors from the G. Bacewicz Music School in Koszalin. Tomasz holds two master’s degrees: one in classical music (with distinction) under the mentorship of Prof. Bogdan Ocieszak and Dr. Andrzej Wojciechowski, and the other in popular music (with high honors) under Dr. Maciej Sikała. Both degrees were earned at the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk. Through the ERASMUS program, he studied with Prof. António Saiote in Porto, Portugal, and participated in numerous workshops conducted by world-renowned virtuosos. Tomasz is also a laureate of multiple clarinet competitions in Poland.

He has performed extensively in Poland and abroad, including in the Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Portugal, Norway, and Spain. Specializing in solo performances, Tomasz has appeared with:

The Symphony Orchestra of the Academy of Music in Gdańsk, premiering Artur Guza’s work for clarinet and orchestra.
The Polish Baltic Philharmonic in a concert series featuring the best graduates of the Academy.
The Koszalin Philharmonic, premiering Tomasz Goliński’s concerto for clarinet, bass clarinet, two marimbas, and orchestra.

Tomasz is also active in chamber music, performing in various configurations such as piano trios, quartets, quintets, and larger ensembles, including clarinet, reed, and wind instrument groups. While continuing to participate in classical music projects, he has recently focused on improvised music, including jazz, free jazz, folk jazz, Dixieland, Gypsy swing, klezmer music, tango, world music, pop, electronic, and theater music. His expertise in bass clarinet has made him a specialist in the instrument, which he promotes across different musical genres.
